clip o f Errol Mauchlan from this tournament
available in the Movies section.)
Jim Peretti going in for the kill on the range
Ken Alton on the range. Ken's net 67 would give him second place in the
first flight behind Mark Steppan. Ken only lost first by a tie-breaker.
For Mark, it was his 3rd victory in the last 4 tournaments.
Dave Webb on the range. Dave would later try running down with his
golf cart the club photographer/webmaster. (Actually, as evidenced above, Dave saves his aggression
for a different kind of driving.)
Jim Peretti impressed with what he sees from Ken Alton on the range.
Jim often gets swept away with other people's swings while at the range.
In fact, Jim suffers from a major inferiority complex, and often feels
better just letting others hit his range ball for him.. Ken
obliges.
Van Hall and Dave Webb. Dave was gunning for the photographer, who's
incredibly nimble feet saved him from becoming road kill. Van, pleased with Dave's
tactics held on tightly and provided words of encouragement. However, the photographer survived (as well as this picture) and
lived to tell about it.
Van observing Jeff Hazel on the par 3 13th hole. Jeff's shot cleared
the lake and landed on the green 3 feet from the hole.
Van Hall on #13. His ball also cleared the lake. Unfortunately, it
cleared the green too.
Jack King psyching himself up on #9.

Lloyd Crenna toughing it out on #9.

Mark Boguski on the dew-dappled fairway #2.

Mark watches his shot at the tricky 5th hole(par 3).

Mark blasting out of the sand on #10.

Mark makes this delicate, downhill, 10-footer for par at #13.

Sam Scalise on #10. His net 67 and tie-breaker over Chris Baker would
give him first place in the 3rd flight.

Sam's driver was hot. Here he prepared for a drive on #12. He cleared
the lake and birdied the hole by draining a 12-foot putt. His putter
was also hot that day.

Sam watches after his ball on #13.

Sam Scalise sank this 12-foot par putt on #13.

Sam strategizing on the 14th hole.

Bob Sternbach on the 13th hole.

Errol Mauchlan using his driver on the long par 3 5th hole. He carried
the creek and the bunker and made par by two-putting from the fringe.

Errol on the 14th hole.

Errol on #15.

Russell Greenwood hitting from the large greenside bunker on the 16th
hole.
