Have any Cal Golfers ever earned their PGA Tour Cards?
Sure, Stanford has a few golfers who've earned their tour cards. I can't think
of any off hand, but it's happened. So what about Cal?
Only three golfers from the University of California at Berkeley have earned
player status on the PGA Tour:

"Bob Boldt is the Director of Golf at Boundary Oak Golf Course in Walnut Creek,
California. He has been playing and teaching golf for over 30 years and is a
former member of the PGA and Senior PGA Tours. Bob has multiple International
and PGA tournament wins, including the all-time largest margin of victory in the
NorCal Open (10 shots) and he still holds the record for low score on the Senior
PGA Tour (on a par 72 course) with a 62, including 8 birdies and 2 eagles, at
the 1990 MONY Classic in Phoenix, Arizona. He was also the Senior PGA Tour
Driving Distance leader in 1988. Bob is one of the best known golf professionals
in Northern California, having taught many of today's top professional and
amateur players, and was recognized by the PGA of America for his contributions
to junior golf, winning the "1999 Junior Golf Leader Award" in the Northern
California section."

Bob was the long time Head Pro at Boundary Oak. In 2005 he moved up to the
Vintner's Golf Club near Calistoga California.

Bob's son Rob Boldt was also on the PGA Tour, Nike Tour, Winner of multiple
local, regional and national tournaments, Portsmouth Open winner -- 29 under
par. Rob is course record holder at Pebble Beach (64)

Artie McNickle,
a 12-year PGA Tour veteran in the 1970s. and 1980s. He also played in the
Champions Tour in the 1990s. He's been living and working as the Director of
Instruction at PGA West in La Quinta, California.

Charlie Wi
earned his card in 2005. In December of 2004, Succeeded at Q-School at PGA West
in La Quinta. Born in 1972, in Seoul, South Korea, he now resides in North
Hills, CA. Debuted in 1995. Paid dues in Europe and Asia. Won Taiwan Open
Bio: "Rookie on 2005 PGA TOUR after successfully navigating through all three
stages of 2004 Qualifying Tournament. Finished T26 in his fourth attempt at
finals. Winner of five Asian Tour events during career dating back to 2000,
including three victories in 2001. Also member of Nationwide Tour (1996,
1998-2000) and European Tour (2002-2003). Best finish on European Tour was T5 at
2002 Dubai Desert Classic. Also made multiple starts on Japan Golf Tour during
this period. One career PGA TOUR event, the 2002 WGC-NEC Invitational, where he
finished T63. First-team All-America in 1995 at University of California,
posting the third-lowest stroke average among collegians that season behind
Tiger Woods and Stewart Cink. Won the 1990 California State Amateur at age 17
(second-youngest to accomplish that feat) and the 1995 Southern California
Amateur Championship. Introduced to golf as a child by his father. Expert skier
earned spending money during college by being a ski instructor. Student of
martial arts, assisting with flexibility in golf swing."
